The Way of the Potter

A Work in Progress

There is so much to be excited about at The Potter's House!  Our first official resident has been living here for just under 2 months.  In addition to full-time employment, he has been actively attending all sorts of recovery meetings, Bible studies, church services, etc.  Watching him grow makes it easy to see why God cares about this particular mission.
We are getting phone calls from various civic leaders across several counties inquiring on the process of recommending someone for the house.  This is great news!  We now have the opportunity to spread hope beyond just our own community!
Our life coach has been busy training how to effectively lead in the recovery process.  A willing spirit is all God ever asks, and our coach certainly demonstrates this on a daily basis.  It is so rewarding watching God grow a person into someone that can lead others to Him.  In addition, our coach is constantly updating things on the house; we can hardly stop him!  He is so motivated to get everything completed, we have to tell him when to stop and take a break!
That leads to the final point:
We still have lots of needs.  Those of you who have been following us know it takes ALOT to take a house from scratch and make it into a house of recovery for 12 men.  You've been walking the journey with us, and have even seen the progression.  But we still need you.  There are so many "little things" that we need--wall decorations, silverware, etc.  They cost so little, but mean so much.  Imagine walking into a home with empty walls and how sterile that would feel.  Or having only a few plates to share among so many men.  Would you please take a moment to browse our "needs" list, and pray about how you can help?
Thank you for all you do!
